This will be a day of silent meditation, an opportunity to find sanctuary: bringing awareness, kindness and care to your practice.
You will be guided through the various meditation practices by Sue Dykes, who is an experienced MBSR Teacher, Clinical Psychologist, and practitioner in the Insight Meditation tradition.
There will be sitting, walking and stretching practices, with an emphasis on cultivating the heart qualities of loving kindness, compassion, gladness/appreciation and equanimity/balance.
Some experience of mindfulness meditation or yoga practice is recommended. Feel free to email Sue at suzed42@hotmail.com if you have any questions about the day.
You are encouraged to make a generous donation, within your means, to Te Moata on the day of the Retreat. Sue is donating her time for the day, and the ticket price of $25.00 is to cover room hire and refreshments.
